TRUST OBJECTS AND ACTIVITIES

 QUESTION

FROM- P. Kumar

Dear sir,
3 years back I had registered a trust(ngo). In my trust deed it is mentioned in its aim and objectives, that

1. to publish books, pamphlets etc. to spread education , cultural art and various art forms.
2.to provide better opportunity in the field of science, technology, education and art.

these two objectives are mentioned in the deed of trust. now we are panning to start one new project given below :

That trust will publish a book in which all the unique achievements , art , special talents, about Indians will be kept as record. In this book, the details of all the amazing facts and feats about Indians, in the field of science, technology, education, various art forms like-painting,music,dance,instruments and other art forms will be kept as record. The main objective of publishing this book is to encourage and motivate Indian artists , to showcase their talent before the world and to provide them better opportunities in the field of science, technology, education, various cultural art and other art forms etc. this book will be called “AWESOME WORLD RECORDS” (AWR). All the achievers will be awarded by us for their special talent and unique achievements.

This book will be working same as Guinness book of world record works.

SHOULD WE START SUCH WORK UNDER THIS EXISTING TRUST BY TAKING RESOLUTION OR WE SHOULD ANY OTHER TRUST ? (SINCE THIS WORK IS NOT MENTIONED IN THE DEED BUT ABOVE TWO OBJECTIVES ARE GIVEN.

ANSWER-

 Hi P.Kumar,

Thanks for posting your query on our page. Your answer is given below:

Since your objective in deed contains the clause to publish the books which will encourage art and cultural development, you can undertake this project under the present trust. There is no need to form any other trust, just pass a resolution in favor of the project and start your work.

Keep the necessary documents to prove that the project is only for cultural development and not for profit motive.

Hope this helps you. Feel free to contact further.
