Income Tax will not accept the Tax Audit Report in Old Format

As we all are aware that the CBDT with its Notification No. 33/2014 has updated the format of Audit report forms 3CA, 3CB and 3CD (Refer our earlier post :New Tax Audit Report Format for A.Y. 2014-15 Onwards).

CBDT on 29th of July has issued another clarification on its e-filing website, https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/, where by which they have that old format of Tax Audit Report has to be stopped with immediate effect for this as well as for older Assessment years. The said notification is given hereunder:

"The existing Form No. 3CA, Form No. 3CB and Form No. 3CD have been substituted vide Notification No.33 dated 25/07/2014 with immediate effect. Taxpayers and CAs are advised to await the release of the new schema and utility to submit in the newly notified aforementioned Forms. Taxpayers and CAs are advised that any upload using the old Forms will not be valid even for previous AYs in view of the notification of CBDT. The new schema and updated utility for e-Filing of the same will be deployed shortly"


In the view of above clarification www.ngoandtaxconsultant.in  asks its readers Chartered Accountant, Advocates, Tax Consultants and Assessees not to file the Audit Report till the new schema launches or not to accept the Old Format Audit Report.
