WHETHER TO START A NGO OR NOT

Dear Sir,

This is in reference to NGO registration procedure. I and my friends are planning to open a setup where we could provide psychological assessment and therapy to persons with mental health problems. I am not sure if we should register as a firm or not? I would also like to know the entire process so that I can register soon.

Thanks for posting your query, please get your answer below:

1. If the motive of your firm is to earn profit than please don't go for NGO registration, get a company or Firm registration. If it is not for profit than you can register your NGO in three forms:

  • Society
  • Company U/S 25
  • Trust

    If i want to start and register the NGO. which one is best for less cost of legal compliance and for good transparency and accountability. Please give pros and cons based on nature of Constitution of NGO registration.
