MCA on monday 30th June, with its circular No. 27/2014, extended the due date to file Statement regarding deposits existing on the commencement of the Act. The said date is now extended by 2 months and it is now 31st August, 2014.
As per Section 74 (1)(a) of Companies Act, 2013 and the Companies (Acceptance of Deposits) Rules, 2014 companies are required to file statement, in the form of DPT-4, within 3 months of commencement of Act regarding their Deposits.
The above extension would give a sigh of relief to a lot of Companies who have still not filed their DPT-4
